Backgammon

Online Backgammon is among the top most games played by gamblers in the online casino. The game has an old heritage and the game is a skill game which can be played easily after one understands the rules.

The game is played by two people. Backgammon is played on a board where there are 24 triangles in alternate colors. These triangles are called Points. These are numbered from 1 to 24.

Home Board

The game is played on the board which is divided into four quadrants and each one has six points making 24. The lower right is known as the Home Board, Upper Right as Opponents Home Board and the two left ones as Outer Board.

The board is divided by a divider which is in the middle of the board and is known as Bar. Checkers are placed here that have been Hit.

Each player can start the game with 15 checkers and the player moves checkers counter clockwise. The main aim behind the game is to move all the 15 checkers of the players into the home board and they are removed after that from the board before the opponent can removes their checkers. The winner is one player who removes all checkers first.

Method to Play

The checkers can be moved by throwing dice and the numbers shall define the move. The players shall roll the dice at the start of the game. The players decide which player shall move by deciding on the higher number of the dice.

The player while moving his checkers can not place his checker where the opponent has two or more of his on the same point.

The player can land on the point where the opponent has a checker and the same will be hit and removed from the game.

The player can start taking the checkers out from the board when they reach the home board. This is called as Bearing Off. The player can select which checker to remove by the dice roll.

The game requires some skill and practice and the game can be played as a free game to do so.
