Online Poker Game Tips: Going On Tilt
Playing and online poker game is very different from playing a live game; you have to react a lot quicker, you must pay more attention to people play patterns, and your in the comfort of your own home or office (I play at work sometimes, too). If your just beginning to play poker online youll probably be a little uncomfortable as it is a total different game. Lucky for you, Im a nice guy and Im going to share my number one online poker tip with you that Ive learned along the way. This is essential in succeeding in online poker and youll come to learn it one way or another. Trust me, you dont want to learn it the hard way; it usually ends up costing you a lot of money.
Do not, I repeat, do not ever go on tilt. You more advanced players obviously already know this but for you beginners, going on tilt or tilting is getting angry, frustrated, upset, or sad and letting these emotions control your game and affect your decision making. Titling is way more common in online games because during an online poker game youll play a lot more hands and against a lot more maniacs that seem to get lucky way to often. This, mixed with hours in front of the computer screen will cause many otherwise strong-minded men to go insane. Tilting has caused the greatest players to crumble to the hands of mere armatures. When you tilt you usually become a lot more aggressive and will make some very, very stupid decisions, decisions that will cost you a great deal of money. If you ask any poker pro their number one poker tip, theyll more often than not say, not going on tilt. Ill be honest with you, when I was younger I would get so angry when I got a bad beat during an online poker game that I would usually end up losing a great deal of money because went on tilt. The instant you feel yourself becoming angry or pissed, just get up, walk away from the computer and come back when youve calmed down. Trust me, just remember not to tilt next time your in an online poker game, itll save you a lot of heart ache and even more money.
