Blackjack means 21, which is the maximum number on which the player wins the game in case the cards, pertain to these numbers. The game involves the player and the dealer. The dealer plays after dealing the cards and the player has to set an initial bet before starting.

Wager

Once the wager is made by the player, two cards are given. The player can decide after looking at the cards whether to Hit or push and the strength of the cards whether they are stronger than the dealers cards. The player has to have a higher hand than the dealer to win. The player shall count the numbers from 1 to 10 as per the cards and face cards like King, Queen and Jack as 10. The Ace is counted as 11.

Win or Lose

In case the player gets an Ace and a 10, in the first two cards, he reaches 21 and wins. In case the player has a lower hand and plays ahead, he looses his money. The player can also win if the dealer fails to qualify. The player can play Double once he is pretty sure of the cards strength and the bet is raised to double. In case the player has a number close to 21 and the dealer has a lower hand, the player shall win both the bets.

There are 4 decks in the game and the cards are shuffled after each round.

Bust is achieved if the player or the dealer exceeds 21 as the value. If the player goes bust, the wager made by him is lost and if the dealer goes bust, the player wins the wager.

When both the player and dealer have similar cards, it is called a push and the player is returned his wager. In case the player has a feeling of losing, the player can surrender where 50% of his bet will be lost and 50% will be returned to him.
